Click empty waveform (no drag) or press Space to play/stop from
wherever the playhead is - for just listening through to find where a
loop is. Drag on empty waveform to mark a new loop group instead (starts
as an untagged "Melody N" - rename it to whatever's useful: a style
reference, a placeholder lyric, "falsetto", "humming", anything) and
immediately opens the editor to ask which song sketch it belongs to -
type a name to search past songs (across every recording, not just this
one) or create a new one; a fragment that's a close variation of another
song can also be linked to it without changing its primary song. In a
block's header: x deletes it, the ☰ menu reopens the
tag/song editor. On the block itself: the center ▶ loop-previews
it, the + circle on the right edge duplicates it immediately to the
right (nudge the edges after for drift). Drag a block's left/right
edge to adjust boundaries. Blocks created by the same + share a
tag/note/song until you actually change one of those for one of them
in the ☰ menu - editing a shared field on an instance that isn't
alone automatically splits just that instance into its own
independent group first, so the others keep the old value; no
separate "detach" step. Dragging an edge into contact with a
neighboring block's edge snaps them together and
locks them, dragging both for the rest of that gesture (no gap or
overlap) - the padlock circle on a block's own left edge shows whether
it's currently locked to whatever it's touching (or sits in its
neutral/unlocked look when there's nothing there to lock to at all,
like the first loop in a group); click it to unlock that side if
you'd rather adjust it without moving its neighbor - drag them back
into contact and it locks again on its own. Scroll (wheel) or drag the
bar below to move through the file; hold Ctrl while scrolling
to zoom. Every edit saves itself immediately.
